Just preparing to head home. Badolato seems to us to be busier this year than previously. We now have 6 restaurants and 4 bars running in the old village and parking is even more difficult than usual.

This forum seems much quieter now though; have people given up on Calabria or are they just enjoying themselves instead of posting?

Hi Gareth Im Brian1,I just had to reregister as the site wouldnt recognise my username. The 4 of us had a drink in the VIP a few years ago.Funny enough we went up to Il Castellano on the 9th.First time we have been there,it was different from all the usual places with braised goat and stuffed melanzane among other things. We didnt drive thank god,it was chokka when we came out.A local guy runs an unofficial taxi service to airport, restaurants etc so we used him.Anyway, hope to post more often as familiar names are beginning to post again, cheers,Brian.

If you're still around you should try Catojo dello Spinetto and the new bar/snack place Tipico Gastronomi.
