Does anyone know of an organisation that will transport our car to Calabria from London?

We tried various routes which have been okay but now looking for an easy option.

Try Billy Cowie or google Shiply. I believe both have been used by people on this website. They might be able to give you further advice or do a search and see the postings.

Find a friend who will drive it down for a cheap holiday!
I looked at taking by rail - Calais to Nice or Den Haag (Holland) to Livorno (Pisa); but this costs so much and you still have miles to do..... Drive it and stop in hotels... It will be cheaper.
(We drive 3 times a year from Manchester to Northern Calabria)

Manchester - Folkstone (set off 20:00)
Folkstone - Calais (stupid o'clock in the morning, like 2/3am)
Calais - Lucern (Holiday Inn Express, right on the Autostrada by 6pm, straight to bed!)
Lucern-St Gottard Tunnel-Milan-Rome etc... (follow 'nagging woman in dashboard')
...all the way to Northern Calabria (Diamante)
1600 miles.
Only downside is Calais takes in a lot of France to Basel, so tolls can be a bit heavy.

Other option (also used many times)
Manchester-Dover
Dover - DUNKIRK NorfolkLine/DFDS Seaways (much cheaper-and longer sleep on the crossing)
Similar route, but satnav (akaNW in dash!) takes you more to the east, so you do less of France and save on tolls.
Final outcome 1650 miles.

I'm a solo driver, hence the stop in Lucerne going down (and usually do Milan on the way up - Holiday Inn again).... But if we do "drive-n-doss" with a few snoozes in the car we can do it in about 36 hours.

Book Holiday Inns using HotelClub as it is cheaper than their own website! (When done in advance)

I looked at van hire.... They will want extra insurance for the trip. Also I'm not sure how much more your tolls will be with a van. We have a Zafira and just fill it every trip. You may actually find that for big stuff, Bill Cowie is your man. I've spoken with him, but not yet used him, but he is widely acclaimed! (As long as you have decent tea when he arrives I believe!!!)

We have booked Billy, for July , as he is so highly thought of.
We will have tea ready for him.
It will be great to have someone take all our stuff over for us just hope that it all fits in.
He will tackle customs etc and we can look forward to having our things over in our lovely new house.
Having said that we have bought kitchen and bedroom furniture in Calabria got a good deal
and will try it out when we are over in the summer.
mags

Drive down to genoa take ferry over night to Palermo. Short drive to main land. If you book at right time the car is one euro different sorts of accommodation cabin sleeper seat etc less stressful and you have a cruise too. Can take picnic dinner breakfast on board.
