I can recommend amongst many other owners I'm sure - the services of Bill and Kathleen of Ionian properties. Nothing is too much trouble, even when I had misplaced my key and they were out for an evening with friends watching an important football match, Bill came out to me straight away.(I would have spent a night on the tiles otherwise!) :oops:

We have just returned from a fortnight setting up our apartment in Bergamotto and getting to know the people and the area.

We cannot speak highly enough of the services of John and Sue Hale, Enzo Totino and Billy Cowie. Billy picked up a completely full vanload of furniture and fittings from our home in Irvine and delivered it directly to our apartment for a very reasonable price, and with a great deal of good cheer, where John helped him unload it. John and Enzo had already arranged the cleaning and decoration of the apartment and fitted the kitchen, water heater, gas bottle, air conditioning and fly screens, again at a very reasonable cost and to the highest standards of craftsmanship, saving us the time, effort and expense of shopping around and arranging deliveries and fitting. A welcome pack of essentials (including wine!) awaited our arrival. While we were there, John and Enzo shepherded us through the intricacies of paying our garbage tax, ICI, water tax and the fitting of the water meter, spending hours taking us from town hall to post office and back again - we couldn't have done it without them! John was always on hand to provide advice, lend tools, provide the occasional glass of wine and introduce us to other residents, and help us reduce our coffee supply! Since we arrived back late on Wednesday, we have been informed that light fittings and other bits of electrical work we required have been completed. We had no hesitation in asking John and Sue to be our keyholders, giving us the security of knowing our apartment is being looked after and aired, enabling us to be kept up with all developments on the complex, and knowing we have someone to speak for us on official matters.

We would have no hesitation in highly recommending the services of any of the above people. Thank you to them all!

Hi Mags. As I said, Billy took EVERYTHING you could think of needing for a 2 bed apartment, including 3 seater bed settee, two-seater sofa, armchir and footstool, fold-down table and chairs, kingsize bed and bunks, flat-pack furniture for all rooms, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, TV, all crockery, cutlery, clothes, down to cleaning materials, loo brush etc etc etc. We had emptied a large static van, and spent the past couple of years buying stuff at sales; also family and friends gave us stuff, and we had a silver wedding! I doubt if we spent £2,500, and our apartment looks great! We completely filled Billy's large van - at one point we thought we wouldn't get the doors closed! Billy lives in Birmingham, and had to drive 300 miles to Irvine to collect our stuff. He charged £1,650; I believe it's around £1,500 from England. We had considered hiring a van and doing it ourselves, but the cost of a fortnight's hire, plus the cost of B&B on the way out and back, and problems with customs, were prohibitive. We thought Billy's price was well woth it. I have heard of people sharing a load, but we couldn't!

Keep up the good work John,Sue,Enzo,Billie etc. You make our ownership very easy for us with all the help you give us. I can recommend you to everyone as you have always been able to show us where to go,how to deal with the council etc and with regard to all the work you have done,kitchen,bedrooms,etc, they have all been done very well and we are extremely satisfied.See you next week. :D

Thanks for making the experience and ownership of my property in bergamotto as stress free and simple as possible. I can recommend you wholeheartedly as you are a wealth of knowledge and guidance and i couldnt have done it without you, you have not only held the key and looked after my property whilst im in the uk but have helped out with all the things such as paperwork , taxes, internet but all those little things which you really need but dont know where to begin!

Hi all,
Just a few recommendations, from our clients,

We can reiterate what Sonia and Kuldip have said. It has proved to be really useful that John and Sue live on site - for those odd moments when we (ok - me!) have locked our key in the appartment and had to run over and get the spare; when we've needed to get onto the internet to check return flight details; when we've need to borrow tools to do the odd bit of DIY or put up a picture; to pick up the pieces (literally!!) when our balcony storage box blew off the balcony in very, very strong winds etc etc.

John and Sue also deal with our renters - they always check who will be renting - how many people (to ensure the appartment isn't overcrowded), where are they from (if Italian, they sometimes bring their own linen and ensuring they are not bringing a pet), checking they are non-smoking etc - so although we don't necessarily know the people who are renting our appartment we do at least know that they have been checked out as best as possible.

We are also using John and Sue who have been honest, reliable and very trust worthy. Personally I feel it makes a big difference having someone who faces the same issues as us and lives on site. John always keep us well informed and Does not charge for paying bills or helping us should we need it.

A lot has happened since our last posting,
Many new clients have come over to us for our property management services
When their renewal date was due,
Also when a lot of owners were suddenly left in the lurch without a key holder,

We have taken on and sorted many issues, for these owners, regarding paying utility bills, electric, water, rubbish, IMU and registering
Clients at the town hall and notary for their codice fiscale card, to make it easier to pay bills,


We require more properties for renting out on the east coast,
Especially Vista Montagna, Residential Amusa, Colinetta, Amusa Mare,
Last season we had more inquiries than apartments available,
(Our thanks to the owners who helped us out, who at the time where not our clients, but now are,)

Don’t forget we will look after your apartment, if you just want key holding or plus renting out,
