We are getting piped gas. After a few years of saying we are to get it this summer it is due to go in. ....
Gas fires, anyone had experience of them inItaly. I have no real experience of gas fires how good are they ?

Do you mean you are getting "Metano" piped to your house? I hear it's cheap for central heating.

I have no idea. What is metano. Never heard of that, not natural gas? I know we can run our stove on it other than that I know nothing.

Metano is methane or natural gas.
You are fortunate if this is being piped into your area.

Yes a bit surprised as the village is highly regarded,walled etc etc not tourist spoilt but they are bringing it up from the marina may be it is on its way somewhere and we en route!

Dennis,
Natural gas is not particularly cheap in UK. Interesting that the British Gas / Centrica made big increases in profits. It has been said that they made 50 profit from each of their customers this past year!
