Hi to all members first of all i just like to say my hart goes out to all members who are having a nightmare with there property i was in the same position as yourself's but fortunately got my deposit back from the company after a big battle with them
i am now a happy owner of a two bed apt property that was built about 8 years ago in calabria. (not in a complex)
For the past two years i have been going to calabria in search of a property i am of an Italian descent so dune my searching by myself i have also made some contacts over there whom i brought my property from.
from experience i have found that there is a lot of company's out there trying to make a quick buck with no thought of people that have worked hard for there money like myself and wasn't prepared to give anyone my money.
I live in London but go to calabria in the summer i love it there and one day will be moving there god willing.
If anyone who would like to buy a property in Bella italia i can pass you
my contact who i dealt with he is not a company but works for himself
and very trusting person who is italian but speak's perfect english

Hi Gino thank you for your post. Would it be possible for you to let other forum members know how and from whom you were able to get your deposit back. Any information would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Answer to your question's when i went to calabria with the company i was shown a 2 bed apt in a complex witch was just what i was looking for so i put my deposit down to secure the property but also got the company to write a letter stating that if the contract was in anyway misleading or i was not happy with the contract i would get my full refund of the deposit back. When i eventually received the contract it was like my five year old nephew could of dune a better job,At first they didn't want to know but once i showed them the letter and pointed out the problems in the contract the funds were deposited straight into my account.i must stress i was lucky and the fact i had a letter signed from the manager of the company i think helped me get it back. thanks and good luck to you all regards Gino

I was also able to get my initial 2k deposit (on Vista Montagna ) back from Medsea. Just as Gino did I asked for and received a written document offering me a full refund if I was not happy with the contract. As I remember it took a few emails and a bit of nagging, but they did refund the full 2k. This was four years ago when they were still going strong, so probably I was lucky with the timing.

Apartment and real estate is very convenient investment to earn extra income. Most of the home seeker moves to apartment side because they can easily search for daily meets and easier to get there offices at near place.

I am considering selling my apartment 4B on Delta Club Residences if a reasonable offer is given.
Located in the ever popular Capo Vaticano area on an elevated site above Santa Maria di Ricadi 20 minutes from Tropea.
On a small gated resort of only 14 apartments with a large communal swimming pool, a well maintained garden and orchard.
A fully equipped air conditioned 2 bedroom apartment with large covered balcony with patio furniture. 700m from Santa Maria beach and restaurants. It has a glorious 270 degree panoramic views of Monte Poro, the coastline, Sicily, the Aeolian Islands and the headland at Capo Vaticano. Fully equipped with TV, mini hifi, DVD , Wical wifi etc.
Condo fees approx €1400 pa. In the 8 years I have been renting the apartment for the past 8 years and I have received sufficient fees to cover all my expenses including my mortgage interest withh a little profit.
Visit http://www.capovaticanodelta.com to view the apartment and resort.
Serious inquiries only, please pm me if interested.

Thank you Ionian.
You can always sell a property if the price is right. One doesn't want to make a big loss on a sale and the Real Estate holiday home market in Calabria is not too good at present.
With the present climate and the GBP to the US $ almost at it's historic 30 year low and the Euro down to 1.15 levels, UK buyers will find it expensive in relative terms.

Hi Evie,
Thank you for those compliments.
I am sure it will be some considerable time before I am able to sell as the property market is not too buoyant in Calabria.
I am in the process of sorting my mortgage, bank account and property deeds amended. Quite a bureaucratic nightmare with getting translators and Notaries in UK and then over to Calabria for further legal documents to be Notarised and the Agenzia informed etc.
Then if I sell having to go through even more bureaucratic machinations! All this of course doesn't come free of charge!

Hi, try the Swedish market. Costa dei angeli has a Swedish site, selling on the Ionian coast but may be they would take you on? You never know.
