These are (should be) two photographs taken 29-04-08. This was kindly done by Italian Connections.

I must admit I do worry about the depth of foundations on the sandy soils when I see where they are building!

Ionian

Is there a particular problem with the depth of foundations that you know about?

No it is just the fact that it is sandy type soil along the coast line, it being washed down from the mountains behind. In a bad storm about 40 years ago quite a few hill top villages lost houses down the hill sides. I am therefore a bit wary of house built on sandy ground, be it in this country or anywhere else. I would not buy a house over here on the side of a hill, much to my husbands annoyance at the time. lovely house, on side of hill with stream at bottom in wooded glade everything you dream about, but no way.

Hi GBL. Has there been any further development on Villaggio Angelo since the photos taken on the 29/4/08 and supplied by IC?

Not that I know of. I am going for the "bury head in sand and wait till 2009!" approach.

Try, Cassie Panetta - inspectionsItaly@medseaestates.com

Splendid lady, she sent me the photos that you see above.

Hi GBL. This buying off-plan lark is rather stressful after reading some of the messages on the forum about purchasers experiences of other developments - or non-development as the case may be. Must admit that after seeing the work so far done on VA it is hard to believe that completion would take place in 2009 - some 15 months away!!!!!

Best not to look.

It may not get done by 08/09. Probably wont. I dont think that the buildings that havent started are IC ones. Looking through the IC developments they are all progressing well.

We are just passengers, all they way up to the date that it was supposed to be complete, and then of course we have the right to pull out with all expenses etc.

At first I thought "that could be anywhere!"

But looking at the 3 trees in the top photo of both new and old photos, they are the same.

It shows the massive amount of "hill" they have moved!

(Head back in sand now until Sept 2009)

Good to see some progress for you all - all I want to know now is when I can have a bare-chested Italian hunk leaning against MY wall (Half-built or otherwise!!)

Thanks for these update photos.

Does anyone know what is happening with:

1. Builders Bank Gaurantee which expired in December?
2. Proposed completion date?
3. Mortgage opportunities.

Any info will be gratefully received.

According to my contract I can either agree to the extension or get a refund of all sums paid, plus any legal interest accrued during the period.

I think that I will be asking for a refund! is anybody else of that mind because I would be interested in Pooling together to make our recovery costs with a Lawyer less expensive?

Dups, thanks for the photo. Bad news that no one on site but must admit there does seem to be an improvement on an earlier October photo. The 3rd floor on Block A appears done so A and B appear equal now. Thanks once again. Angela.
