This summer whilst out driving exploring new things, I stumbled upon this hotel, I could not believe it was in Calabria. It has a stunning contemporary style and the tariff was much lower than I thought it would be for such a magnificent looking hotel and resort.

Have a look it at is now:

What do you all think?

I know it very well as we had to make an emergency landing whilst out there on the boat and got caught in a sudden tornado with the boat impossible to control.

The staff helped us pull the boat on the beach and then we sheltered with a group of people in the beach bar as it was too stormy to cross the pool area to the main lobby. We waited for hours for it to blow over whilst drinking coffee at the bar.

Professional service and indeed very high class.

Please note that the hotel is open from dates in May until october not all year.

I took a couple of pics yesterday as I was passing, as it is very close to our new development at Giardino degli Ulivi, it really is quite impressive and the builders have done a excellent job.

This is one of the better 4 star resorts in the area.

what a nice change to see curves on a development!
greenery too,
is it eco friendly with solar power for water and electric, reed beds etc.
sorry wearing green hat here, frustrated with this govt rules and regulations to get electric solar fitted without the huge mark up!
had forgotten about the hotel, a nice break would be good.

Not sure about the reed beds, but it has one of the biggest arrays of solar panels and such that i have seen on any development , part of the area given over to this can be seen on the far right hand side of the picture in the first photograph. The Bussola hotel we use up the road also uses solar power extensively.

Is this hotel still open? The website seems to have gone.

Any news would be welcome.
