There is a party that wanted to run the restaurant but also wanted long term lease and why not it will take some investment to run it properly, but it gets down to the same problem what good is a contract in Southern Italy? I am sure this group would do a fine job to bad things are so screwed up there.

hi all
I am currently at PBC and will Be for next two weeks. Resort looks wonderful and is very Busy.
Major disappointment is the aBsence of a shop - not open at all - and the short hours of the restaurant.
Plus the lack of staff at the restaurant (one chef and one waitress) means that on Busy nights you will wait ages for your meal.
Everything else is wonderful But these proBlems urgently need to Be addressed

(sorry aBout the capital B)

With good coverage 3G can be a lot faster than a landline, but there is a data cap of a couple of gb per month so careful with the iPlayer!

Will point this post out to husband. We have just decided to cancel landline as it was very slow and expensive may be we should reconsider

Our complex now has landline Internet available. The best deal seems to cost €35 a month, which includes a phone. However, after a year you can cancel the phone and the bill is then €20-€25 a month. At the moment I have a WIND dongle and wifi router which costs me €20 a month, but I can can el the payment when I am not there and restart when I am. The benefit of the landline is a better package and the ability to download at better speeds and probably setup some sort of system to get UK TV and English films. Also if you work from your place in Italy, it would give a better and more reliable Internet service.

I am a bit envious of you residing in the PBC. I pay an arm and a leg for my Wical wifi in my apartment.

The free wifi was able in the restaurant area even during the winter when the restaurant was closed.

I was at PBC last week and Free WiFi was available at the restaurant with no need for a password.
If they have it all the time this will be great for everyone restaurant included.

Thanks! They both sound like good solutions. I think to get good wifi at PBC would help bookings as well as people tend to expect it now.
I will look into both options!

I am on the East coast and use an unlocked Huawei WiFi Broadband Router that was recommended by a computer friend. I just put the SIM card in and it is also mobile, so I can take it out and I am my own wifi hub. Unfortunately that one is no longer available on ebay, where I bought it, but I am sure a computer saffy person could help you further.

Jane, I have a TIM dongle but it'll only work on a laptop etc with a USB port so no good for an ipad or phone. I would also be interested in wifi possibilities.

Hi folks, a bit of a loose link to the original question... but I know we can get wifi at the restaurant, but has anyone managed to get good wifi in their apartments? Does anyone know the best options?

The restaurant was open all winter at the weekends but don't know current situation. Smaller pool open and new slide just installed in bigger pool so it should open soon. I'll be there on May 10th, will you still be there then?
