Has anyone here actually had one of these "legally required mediation meetings" take place?
Ours was delayed for a month , then the day of the next one, an e mail from the solicitor saying the builder is not attending, as he has no money so you wont get your deposit back even though it is two years late , changed in appearance had no loan guarantee , etc etc blah blah I almost cried over his hard luck story then I remembered he has money,, alot of it ours and at least a dozen other couples money.
What a waste of time the whole mediation process was. what is the the point of making it law then as normal the person in the wrong ( the man who broke the contract over and over) cant be bothered to attend ?
The whole property buying process is a farce
