our village usually have fireworks,, most villages seem to, lights in streets, fantastic crib scenes, if in Naples go and see those, incredible. I would cater for home meals rather than eating out alot.

I understand Christmas crackers go down a treat in Italy; though technically you can't fly over with them, coz they are explosives.....apparently. ;oP

Has anyone spent Christmas/New Year in Gioiosa / Rocella - does much happen? Is anything open (ie restaurants, shops etc). Are there any seasonal festivities to enjoy? What's the weather like?

Now that we actually own our appartment we can start booking up some (cheap-ish) flights....
